"Worship: The Purpose of Creation"

By Francis Frangipane
(En EspaƱol)

We were created for God's pleasure. We were not created to live for ourselves but for Him. And while the Lord desires that we enjoy His gifts and His people, He would have us know we were created first for His pleasure. In these closing moments of this age, the Lord will have a people whose purpose for living is to please God with their lives. In them, God finds His own reward for creating man. They are His worshipers. They are on earth only to please God, and when He is pleased, they also are pleased.

The Lord takes them further and through more pain and conflicts than other men. Outwardly, they often seem "smitten of God, and afflicted" (Isa. 53:4). Yet to God, they are His beloved. When they are crushed, like the petals of a flower, they exude a worship, the fragrance of which is so beautiful and rare that angels weep in quiet awe at their surrender. They are the Lord's purpose for creation.

One would think that God would protect them, guarding them in such a way that they would not be marred. Instead, they are marred more than others. Indeed, the Lord seems pleased to crush them, putting them to grief. For in the midst of their physical and emotional pain, their loyalty to Christ grows pure and perfect. And in the face of persecutions, their love and worship toward God become all-consuming.

Would that all Christ's servants were so perfectly surrendered. Yet God finds His pleasure in us all. But as the days of the Kingdom draw near and the warfare at the end of this age increases, those who have been created solely for the worship of God will come forth in the power and glory of the Son. With the high praises of God in their mouth, they will execute upon His enemies the judgment written (see Ps. 149). They will lead as generals in the Lord's army of worshipers.

  1. I absolutely concur with this post. Could you please go the next step and, further comment on what it exactly is we are to do when we, "lay down our lives" and "take up the cross." Since my youth I've taken these things to mean that I should cease from pursuing a career, education, even having anything that might be a personal desire or goal. It has been an ongoing tension that I have never (ever) known of anyone in ministry addressing. It can't be that I'm the only one with this unresolved tension in my life. I suspect there are generations of us in the Body of Christ who have this internal conflict.

    1. what you are saying is exactly true with millions who have heard the teaching you are talking about. The teachers of these things for the most part don't know how to answer that either because they don't "lay down their lives" either. The truth is, in "following the leading of the Spirit of Christ" your fleshly desires and the mind created by living by the world's desires are in direct opposition to the things of the Spirit. Since Christ's bodily death was "your death" not for Himself and His resurrection was "for you to have Life", you must live by hearing/seeing/being led by His Spirit....this IS your life. This is then the "obedience of Faith" that we've all been called to by the Father. You pursue whatever He leads you to pursue with Him guiding all along the way...whether an education or no education...."career or no career"....He is YOUR CAREER....He is Your Life. You go and do and live just as His Spirit inside you directs you to do. If you have not been filled with His Spirit for certain....then you MUST be filled with His Spirit so you can have His Life Giving Spirit operating in every part of your being. All your "personal desires and goals" then have become all that He reveals to you and gives you a vision for.....many of the things you've probably desired to do or attain to do have come from Him but you have been cheated out of them by "religion".....Spent time alone with Him and "seek the things that are above...where Christ is sitting at God's right hand"..."fix your mind on things above not on things on the earth for YOU DIED (if you were baptized into His death) and YOUR LIFE is hidden with Christ in God". Put away your smart phone, your tablet, your facebook page, your TV programming and all your online compulsions and spent time alone with Him seeking to make that vital contact in your conscious mind with Him and see what He shows you and reveals to you. Are you really serious about serving Him and living for Him only?

    2. Whoa, usually I don't involve. Let's not get too far. Laying down our lives isn't happening over night and It is when an individual completely dependent and obedient to Him. Hello,Roger. God Bless you. May Lord pleased with your thought on devotion to Him. As Francis teaches us ask Lord How can I please you? with sincerity. Then start from there, Obey Him out of love for Him. one step then to another step. Loose what Lord displeased in me and learn humbly what pleases him. Holy Spirit will sanctify you as long as you don't resist Him, but have obedient heart, He will never force you to do anything. Hope this help. Don't rush to see fruits and persevere in difficulties.

    3. www.icitc.org I only had time to hear the introductory CD.
Right where offence would occur, I heard the audible voice of "Pray for them, God have mercy one more time". Picking up our cross, allow Jesus to die through us for our generation today. It was the first Satanic attack against my life. My decision to forgive had already been made. The Word God said, forgive those who hate , use or try to kill you. The Word God needs honor in order to work. I honor God when I believe what the Word God says. I found out that my will decision to forgive and my doing of that decision cannot separate. Right where offence occurs, I forgive it's my decision made. I had just heard ICITC introductory CD that God confirmed. "Pray for them God have mercy one more time". My prayer became the words God said. I had no remorse, no hurt or anguish about the attack against my life, no negative emotion, no hold of Satan's energy stuck on me. God will show you the fruit. I pray God forgive them and I become the legal access for God to that person's heart. Jesus said,"God forgive them they know not what they do". When they crucified him. Yes it is a process that was 01/01/2008. I pick up spiritual authority over whatever I lay my life down for. Forgive them and bless those who curse you

    4. Thank you for putting the Journey into words. It all starts when you get to that place or situation in your life when you realize that you need help and you ask God to take over. He never forces himself upon you, but rather looks for someone that will truly give him the reigns.
Your problems may seem insurmountable, but you know that your God is the God of impossibilities and so you trust him even when you don’t see the answers to your prayers. There are times when the whole world can be against you and you feel so alone and just when it seems like it can’t get any worse, it does.
And so you try to flee, but as you do you hear that quiet, but Powerful voice saying “I’m right here!” And so in your weakest most vulnerable moment you start to praise & worship this wonderful King! And as you do he places within you this supernatural faith that tells your soul that no matter what, everything is going to be alright.
You then start to realize that He is preparing you for something great. The answer that you were originally looking for seems insignificant as you realize that the journey is the thing that is making you into who he wants you to be.
